KEEP YOUR GLASS FULL

Keep Your Glass Full was an exhibition that I designed and put up in Richards Hall at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. The main idea for the project was to make an exhibition about relationships and having healthy ones. I used a glass of beer as a symbol to use throughout my piece. I chose beer(alcohol), because like relationships the abuse of it can be harmful to you. The title “KEEP YOUR GLASS FULL” refers to the idea that the people in your life should be positively impacting you and “keeping your glass full”; instead of people constantly taking from you and “emptying your glass”.

This project talks a lot about how your relationships with others can affect your mental health. The main audience for this exhibition were younger people around the age of 18-25, more specifically directed at college students. Mental health has been a topic that has seen a rise in my generation. Since mental health is important to my generation, I drew inspiration from designs that my generation sees a lot. I drew some inspiration from Spotify’s design style. I used a lot of bold contrast with heavy darks contrasted with bright saturated colors.
